Alcohol rehab is a systematic approach to the recovery from alcoholism, and Spencer Recovery Centers is ready to undertake alcohol rehab with you or someone you love. Alcohol rehab sets out to attack one of the strongest diseases known to man- alcoholism. Alcohol rehab is setup in stages. Each stage of alcohol rehab has many different aspects. We find that the aspects of each stage are extremely important, and when put together with the other stages, extremely effective. Alcoholism can be treated and alcohol rehab is the first place to begin this treatment.

Alcoholics are usually in a state of denial when they are first admitted to alcohol rehab. Denial is a symptom of the disease of alcoholism. This denial can be so thick that the alcoholic can't see that they have a problem, no matter how big or small the problem is. This denial must be broken and our facilities assist in breaking it down.

The first step of alcohol rehab is the detoxification. Then comes the physical wellness stage. Next is the emotional reparation stage. After that is the structuring of a good network outside of the treatment facility.

During detoxification the alcoholic undergoes a cleansing of his/her chemical makeup. Alcohol has become part of the chemical makeup of the alcoholic. This is why we must systematically remove the alcohol.

The body of the alcoholic is usually beaten up pretty bad by the disease of alcoholism. We have an in-house nutritionist to assist the alcoholic in rebuilding their physical being. We also have exercise programs to help get the body back into shape.

The emotional reparation stage is extremely important. Alcohol abuse can cause large amounts of emotional damage. This damage is not easily mended. But our highly trained counselors help the alcoholic help repair this damage. Alcoholism is not only a physical disease it is a spiritual malady. So we need to address the human as a whole. This is done in one-on-one counseling, along with group counseling. We help repair family damage by offering each family counseling. These different avenues of counseling all meet down the road at a person that is happy healthy and ready to take on the world, sober!

This process of alcohol rehab can't begin until the person is under our care. Alcohol rehab must take place inside a facility with highly trained staff. We offer this here at Spencer Recovery Centers.

The many different stages and many different aspects of each stage, help the alcoholic delve into the now unknown, sober life. It is not easy for an alcoholic to stay sober.
